1. Component Overview
| Component | Function |
|---|---|
| Jaws | Secures the arrow shaft |
| Fletching Arms | Holds the vanes/fletchings |
| Tension Knob | Adjusts the grip strength of the jaws on the shaft |
| Alignment Wedge | Locks the arms in the vertical position for curing |
2. Operating Instructions (PFS 3)
- Shaft Preparation: Insert the arrow shaft into the jig. Rotate the Tension Knob until the shaft is snug. Caution: Do not over-tighten, as excessive force may damage the jig.
- Vane Loading: Place your fletchings into the slots on the Fletching Arms. Slide them toward the center of the jig until they reach the designated stop point. Compatible with vanes up to 3.25" long for standard 2° helical inserts.
- Adhesive Application: Apply a thin, even layer of fletching-specific glue across the entire base of each vane. Recommended to place glue in small dots across fletching and spread afterwards. Note: Using excessive glue can lead to bonding with the jig arms.
- Engagement: Carefully fold the arms upward toward the shaft and insert the Alignment Wedge fully until it seats and locks the arms in position. If vanes aren't adhering to the shaft properly, lock in the arrow tighter with the jaws and insert the wedge tighter.
- Curing Period: Maintain the assembly in the locked position for approximately 30 seconds, or as specified by your adhesive manufacturer.
- Removal: Remove the alignment wedge and loosen the tension knob until the arms are clear of the fletchings to release the completed arrow.
3. Making Adjustments
- Replacing & Cleaning Inserts: To replace the arm inserts, simply press upwards on the insert firmly until it can be removed from the top slot. Our upgraded inserts are 100% acetone-safe! If you experience heavy glue buildup, simply pop the inserts out and soak them in acetone to easily dissolve and clean off old adhesive before sliding them back into the arms.
- Height Adjustment: Locate the small bolt in the bottom center of the jig. Using a 5/64 hex key, turn clockwise to lower the nock resting point and counter-clockwise to raise the nock point. Use the indicator on the side for precise height setting.
- Custom Arms: Contact support@rangevectorgear.com for custom fletching length and helicals on arms.

| Fletching Arms | Holds the vanes/fletchings (4-vane configuration) |
| Tension Knob | Adjusts the grip strength of the jaws on the shaft |
| Alignment Wedge | Locks the arms in the vertical position for curing |
2. Operating Instructions (PFS 4)
Compatible with vanes up to 2.50" long for standard 2° helical inserts (vanes can be longer for lower helical inserts).
- Adhesive Application: Apply a thin, even layer of fletching-specific glue across the entire base of each vane. Recommended to place glue in small dots across fletching and spread afterwards. Note: Using excessive glue can lead to bonding with the jig arms.

4. Maintenance & Safety (PFS 3 & PFS 4)
⚠️ WARNING: Always inspect arrow shafts for cracks, splinters, or "nicks" before and after using the jig. Never fletch or shoot a damaged arrow. A cracked shaft can shatter upon release, causing severe injury to the shooter or bystanders.
⚠️ CAUTION: Use fletching adhesives only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Acetone will temporarily soften the PCTG plastic used for the main jig body. You may use acetone on the main body in moderation (quick wipes only), but never submerge or soak the main jig frame, jaws, or wedge in acetone.
⚠️ CHOKING HAZARD: This product contains small parts (knobs, pins, and hardware) that could pose a choking risk to children under 3 years of age. Keep all components out of reach of children and pets.
- Cleaning: Clean off any excess wet glue from the jig after each arrow is fletched. If glue buildup occurs on the main PCTG body, apply isopropyl alcohol to loosen residue, or use an acetone-dampened cloth to quickly wipe the area (do not let acetone pool on the plastic, as it will temporarily soften the material). For heavy buildup in the fletching channels, remove the inserts entirely and soak only the inserts in acetone to easily restore them to a like-new finish.
- Storage: Store the jig in a cool, dry place. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or high-heat environments (like a hot car).
- Replacement Parts: Contact support@rangevectorgear.com for repairs and replacement parts.
